There are several car wash brush can be used for car detailing both exterior and interior. Brush for exterior is generally used to clean wheel, lower part of car and some parts of engine. Brush for interior is use for clean inside passenger room like dashboard, gear center console, seat both fabric and leather, carpet, door panel.
We can separate brushes into the main 2 type, soft hair brush and thick hair brush. We can separate it to short hair and long hair.
Interior detailing, we recommend soft type over the thick. This is because of soft hair is more friendly with the dashboard and other interior parts which combined of a different material. Soft brush will not leave marks very good to wipe off dust from the surface. Long or short hair, it depends on how and what to use it with. Long hair can access to deep part like air vents. Short hair is use with a plain surface like dash board or seat.
Exterior detailing, thick type brush is most popular for detailing guys. Thick hair car wash brush with long or short handle MUST be used for the wheel, wheel arches, tires as they design it for scrub and rub on the surface which you do not serious about its perfection. However, consider using a little soft brush for cleaning the rims. Car rims today has more nice design and paint work from factory so the paint could damage by too thick brush.
